Maria Rosa Cintron, age 87, aka Mom, MawRosa, MeeRose, Rosita, Grandma, GGMom, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Maria was born in El Paso, Texas, and was currently residing in San Antonio, Texas.
Maria lived her life dedicated to her family, friends, faith, praying her rosary on a daily basis as well as watching mass daily from home. She had a heart of gold, beautiful not only on the inside & outside, loving, caring person, & made every person she met & knew feel like family.
Mom was greatly adored by family, friends & acquaintances. She is already missed more than you can possibly image. I love you Madrecita, Mucho, Mucho, Mucho. Forever in my heart.
She was born October 12, 1936, in El Paso, TX to the late Jose & Susana Armendariz.
She graduated from St Joseph’s Academy, last graduating class in 1955. She went on to get her cosmetology license. After a few years, she began work at Farah Manufacturing Co., where she worked for over 25+ years until her retirement, Dec 1998.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Marina & Jesus Morin Jr. Also, by her siblings, Guillermo “Willie” Armendariz, Raul Armendariz, & Irma Galvez, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joey, parents, Jose & Susana Armendariz, sister, Guadalupe Rodriguez, & niece, Carly Armendariz.
The viewing will take place Monday, November 13, 2023, from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m., rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral mass Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama St., El Paso, TX 79930. Burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza, El Paso, TX 79907.
