Maria Elena Vega, one of God's loving angels, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on Monday, June 6, 2022. Maria was born January 31, 1937 to Elisa P. Cardenas and Isaac Cardenas. She loved to travel and with a taste for thrill, experienced a life with family and friends that made the world a happier place to be. A Woman who never gave up her faith and blessed to live a full life, gave all the love she had away so it can be carried on by those who received it.
Maria is survived by her sons Charles Arellano, Michael David Arellano and Mark Angelo Arellano. Maria Elena also leaves behind her grandchildren; Charles Jr, Michael, Victor, Steven, Amber, Robert, Isaac and Michael T., along with six great-grandchildren.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband Henry C. Vega; her son Robert Anthony Arellano; her father Isaac Cardenas and her mother Elisa P. Cardenas.
Visitation for Maria will be held Monday, June 20, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Vigil at 6:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral mass will follow on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 11:30 AM at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd., El Paso, Texas 79925. Committal service to follow at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza, El Paso, Texas 79907.
