He attended Hillside/Cooley Elementary School, Ross Middle School, Burgess High School, and he received his Masters in Education Administration from UTEP. He took pride in being the youngest principal in EPISD.
During his time in EPISD he was a devoted lifelong child advocate and educator who loved making a significant difference in the lives of countless students and educators throughout his career. He served as a teacher, campus administrator, and central office administrator. He was the creator and leader of the EPISD Alpha Team. He wrote many books, two of which are located in the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. Another series of books that he was proud of were his 14 books about the Test Preparation for Texas Teacher Certification Exams.
After retiring from EPISD, he was the director of Community Engagement for Goodwill El Paso. He accomplished all of this and still made time for his love of music as the founder/director of Mariachi Paso Del Norte. He was proud to have earned the title of Best of El Paso for two years in a row for his mariachi group.
He has truly made an impact on his family, friends, and the community in which he lived in. He was proud to say that he was from El Paso and everything he did showed his love for the city.
