She was welcomed into eternal rest by her father, William R. Ward Sr.; her brother, William R. Ward Jr.; her brothers-in-law, Joe Mares and Roger L. McDonald; and her nephew, Jose I. Frescas IV.
Patricia leaves behind her devoted husband, Thomas Higdon; her mother, Barbara E. Ward; her sisters, Adonica Mares, Theresa McDonald, and Tamara Berry; her brothers-in-law, James (Nancy) and Mark Higdon; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and countless dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and love.
Patricia was a bright light to all who knew her. She always wore a smile, offered a helping hand to anyone in need, and was someone family and friends could always count on. Her heart was especially tender toward animals, and the many dogs and cats she rescued over the years were a beautiful reflection of her compassion. She loved them deeply, and they were truly her babies.
Patricia was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, her kindness, and her light will continue to live on forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14 from 10am to 1pm with a Vigil Service at 10:30am followed by a Chapel Service at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, located at 12400 Montana Ave., El Paso, Texas 79938. Services will conclude thereafter.
