Peter C. Saxman, born in Augsburg Germany on June 21, 1958, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, leaving behind a family that adored him, a lifetime of stories, laughter, and too many friends to count.
Born to Curtis and Muriel Saxman and raised in El Paso, Texas, Peter made El Paso his forever home. He spent his years alongside the love of his life, Patricia Saxman, finding joy in the simple things—UTEP games, art and craft shows, music events, and quality time with family.
Peter never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t gotten to know yet. His ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel welcome was one of his greatest gifts. His humor, kindness, and big heart will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia Saxman, daughter, Shannon Saxman Vent, to whom he was a loving and doting father, son in law Christopher Vent, his older brother Herbert Saxman (Francesca), older sister Sandra Svoboda (Ralph), and little sister Bronwyn Daniel (Joseph). He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws whom he loved dearly.
While we wish we had more time with him, we find comfort in knowing that he lived fully, loved deeply, and left us with enough stories and laughter to last a lifetime. His close family and friends will celebrate his life in a small private ceremony.
