Raquel Carreon Ramirez

Raquel Carreon Ramirez, 81, passed away on September 25, 2018. She was born in El Paso, TX on October 27, 1936. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1955. She is survived by her husband, Francisco Ramirez; children, David (Irma) and Frances (Craig); three granddaughters, Britani Wing (Clinton), Samantha Ramirez, and Kaitlyn Jackson; and great-grandson Walter S. Wing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benito and Francisca Carreon. She had eight siblings, Arturo Carreon (deceased), Carlos Carreon (deceased), Moises Carreon (deceased), Estella McCullough, Sara Elloreagan, Daniel Carreon (deceased), her twin brother Pablo Carreon (deceased) and Rita Beall. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Raquel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also devout Catholic and proud member of Saint Joseph’s Church.

We would like to thank Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Hospital for the care and compassion they provided to Raquel and our family.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 4, at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with vigil beginning at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 5, at 9:30am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
