I always remember Ronnie and the telephone call he made to me the last time I talked to him.  He was telling me stories about my grandparents that lived in Fulton, Kansas, and the big black snake  that lived in their basement.  He was married to my dad's sister, Virginia, at the time when they stayed at their house.  Ron was a friendly person.  We stayed with them when his daughter, Pam, got married in St. Louis.  Lots of family dinners and visits in Fort Scott, Kansas, at Mildred's house.  Miss those times.

Ron was always a happy person who loved to visit with his extended family.  Thinking of Pam today and hope she is doing all right.  We had many family visits whenever they would come back to Kansas.  I have a great photo of my dad's sisters at Mildred's house in Fort Scott.  I was so glad I got to visit with him on the phone.


Ronnie was my uncle. My mom and his wife Virginia were sisters. My favorite memory of him was when I took my boys to El Paso to visit. We cooked out burgers, swam in the pool and he made sure we never ran out of candy bars. He was a kind and sweet person! Pam, I am thinking if you. I’m so sorry for your loss! 

Ron was a close friend and neighbor.  He was my Sun Bowl Game partner each year as neighbors.  Ron was a proud and principled man , I shall never forget him.The Serna family extends their deepest condolences to the Klaber and Christianson families. The Serna family continues to carry on the tradition of the  " Little Heaven on Earth  "   ( the  Ruidoso  cabin ) that Ron and  Ingrid created. 

Ron was my uncle.  Ron and my aunt Virginia were almost daily parts of my life in high school.  Ron would see that  I had a cool car for high school dances.  This was very important in Downey  What you drove determined your status.  Uncle Ron remained important.  After High School, Ron got me a job at Chrysler, but the economy got me layed off.Uncle Ron was always there when I needed him.  He got me a deal on a new car after I moved to WA.

The world has lost a very special person.  Ronald Klaber was one of a kind.

I have very fond memories of my Aunt Virginia and Uncle Ronnie when they lived in Downey.  I remember him working in his front lawn and swimming in their backyard pool. He was always friendly – I remember his smile most. My thoughts and prayers are with my cousin Pam and her family during this difficult time.

I always enjoyed visiting with Ron when he would come back to visit relatives in Kansas.  He was so friendly and had stories to tell about his life.  My prayers for the family and keep his memory close to your hearts.  He told me about his final resting place in El Paso, Texas.


Ron was a great friend and neighbor.  Always had a smile and  always willing to help you. If you needed anything, he would be the one to go to.
