

Rose M. Vidal, (nee Beltran) born June 5, 1907, passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2013 at the age of 105. She was born in Durango, Mexico, and later moved with her family to San Antonio, Texas, then to Chicago, Illinois. While in Chicago she married Liborio Dominguez and had two daughters, Sylvia Spring (David) and Rose Marie Dominguez. Rose became a widow in 1961, and subsequently, moved to El Paso, Texas, in 1968 where she married Francisco Vidal who predeceased her. She was a great homemaker and mother. She enjoyed life with her various activities including cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and needlepoint. She also took excellent care of her garden. Rose traveled extensively and was an avid reader. She was always busy doing something for her family. Rose is survived by her two daughters, who were with her at her passing, by four grandchildren: Susan (Mark), Jessica, Rebecca (Beto) and Victor (Brandi), and by five great grandchildren: Lauren, David, Derek, Kennedy and Avery. Rose’s family thanks the staff of Hospice of El Paso for their professional and compassionate care. Visitation will be at Martin Funeral Home Central on Sunday, April 28, 2013, from 5:00-9:00 P.M. with the rosary service at 6:00 P.M. Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at the intersection of Hueco and Travis.
