Our life was full with friendship, joy, 
good times that seemed all that brief.
We savored much, I will miss, but wish for the sunshine of tomorrow.

To everyone posting your condolences to my Dad, I my brother Ruben Jr and sister Rosy appreciate the sentiments and kind words. My Dad was a great guy, husband to my mom, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and golfer! We all get caught up in our lives and must by necessity establish ourselves as adults, parents, and contributing members of society and cannot forever be entrenched in each other lives. One of the blessings of a life occurrence such as this is that it brings everyone back together, again for a moment in time, to remember each other and time we were able to spend together. My family and I appreciate and treasure the time we spent with everyone be it short lived or fleeting, it does not minimize how much it meant and will always mean. God bless you all and for being an important part of my Dads life.

We have just learned of the sad death of our uncle, Ruben. We cannot express the sadness we feel at this time.

We remember our uncle as a fine, kind and generous man who was always so full of energy and good humour. He will be sadly missed by many.

We know that words can give little consolation to relieve grief but we should like you to know that we too will be grieving for him.

Cousin Ruben I have many fond memories of visits and time with you and family when my folks lived on Pera St. and Paraguay St in El Paso.  You encouraged Dad, Manuel, to take up Golf in San Diego.  You both shared a love of golf but family always came first. May you both enjoy your Golf games in Haven because you both deserve many Birdies for all the unconditional Love you showed your Wives, Children, Siblings  and Parents. I wish I could be in El Paso to Celebrate your life with your grown Children and Grandchildren. You will always be in my heart and prayers, Cousin Corina Banuelos Holcomb.
