Samantha Abigale Matthews our own Rock Star age 49, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. She had a bigger than life personality, very Charismatic, a dedicated local musician throughout El Paso and since the early 90’s a big supporter and beloved member of the Borderland Rainbow Center community. Samantha helped dozens LGBTQ+ adults and youth seeking help. Samantha is also a big part of the Sci-fi, comic book, and toy collecting community. A lover of music and stand up comedy. Samantha will be truly missed by all of her friends and family. She was a kind hearted person, always the light of the party with her incredible talent and sense for sense of humor. Beloved by everyone who she has touched and truly inspired.
Samantha is preceded in death by her Grandfather, Hipolito Navarro, Father, Albert Santa Anna, and Mother, Cristina Santa Anna
Samantha is survived by her wife, Andrea Matthews, Grandmother, Guadalupe Navarro, Daughter, Madeleine Louise Weathers, Sister, Melissa Santa Anna (Marisa Curiel) as well as many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
A public visitation for Samantha will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East Funeral Home & Cemetery, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, Texas 79938, followed by a Celebration of Life at 6:00 PM.
