

Socorro A. Lozano, 90, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Socorro was born in Smeltertown, TX on October 10, 1926 to Basilio and Merced Alonzo. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Isabel "Chava" Lozano, her granddaughter, Angel, her parents, sisters: Francisca, Sabina, Juana, Catalina, brothers: Francisco, Manuel, Felix, and Catalino. She is survived by her seven children, Freddie (Martha), Esther, Estella (Carlos), Yolanda (Pete), Terri (Danny), Martin (Eddie), and Irma. Her 12 grandchildren: Carlos E., Matthew, Veronica, Jose I., Al Jr., Gabriella, Arturo, Cynthia, Aaron, Pete, Isabella, and Pablo. Nine great grandchildren: Eric, Desiree, Jakob, Jackie, Cruz III, Adam, Zoey, Zachary, and Rebecca. She is survived by her brothers Luis, Jose, and Alberto Alonzo. Our mother lived a long, beautiful life and many will remember her for her humor and feistiness. She always supported her grandkids in their sports and events. She enjoyed watching her football and basketball games. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home (Montana). Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Alabama at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
