Bess Clark got her wings on March 25, 2018. Born in Matador, TX on October 24, 1935, Bess lived 82 blessed years. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack T. Clark, and her parents Velma and John Foster. She leaves behind her son Frank Clark, his wife Mary Ann, her daughter Rochelle Muchnick, and her husband Howard. She also leaves behind her sister Ann Cone, her grandchildren Frank, Amber, Rebecca, Emily and Ellie, great-grandchildren Tristan, Ben, Frankie Rae, Allison, and Ava, and her nieces and nephews Michael, Darren, and Shelley.
Bess had an extraordinary amount of achievements in her life, but amongst the greatest of her achievements was raising two amazing children with her high school sweetheart Jack. She touched the lives of countless children during her 27 years as a first grade teacher at Bonham Elementary School. During her tenure as a teacher she was named Teacher of the Year. Bess was also very involved with her church, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She sang in the choir, knitted prayer shawls, and was on the finance board. She also knitted blankets for kids with cancer for the Ronald McDonald House.
Aside from her impeccable wardrobe, Bess always had a warm smile and a kind word for every person she encountered. She will be remembered for her positive, sunny attitude. Her generosity towards others was beyond compare. Bess left her mark not only on her family, but on every person she met. Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 30, 2018 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
