Bill was born on October 22, 1942, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, to William Carlton Leasure II and Atha Lee Leasure. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Mathematics, after which he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. During the Vietnam War, Bill flew over 100 combat missions as a navigator and communications specialist. His service was marked by extraordinary dedication and courage, earning him the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon. He also completed jungle survival training, a testament to his resilience and commitment to duty.
Following his military service, Bill built a successful civilian career with IBM, where he worked in computer sales and management for 35 years. After retiring from IBM, he continued working with AT&T for an additional four years, remaining active and engaged well into his later years.
Bill had a lifelong passion for golf and was a club champion at multiple golf clubs. His love for the game never faded — remarkably, at the age of 82, he shot an 81, a feat that reflected both his skill and competitive spirit.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jeanne Leasure; his children, William (Pam) Leasure IV and Jennifer (A. Jay) Fowinkle; and his beloved grandchildren, Jack, Kate (Reynolds), Matt, J.T., and Ashlynne.
Bill will be remembered for his service, intelligence, discipline, and quiet determination, as well as his deep love for family and the game of golf. His legacy of dedication, integrity, and perseverance will live on in all who knew and loved him.
