

Betty M. Murray, 85, of Evansville, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015,surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 12, 1930, in Evansville, to the late Louis and Gertrude (Brown) Linegar.
She attended and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and was employed at Super Inn Tavern for over 20 years. She loved camping with family at the bayou, watching Animal Planet shows and cooking for family and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Douglas Murray; son, Jerry Douglas Murray; grandson, Steven Joel Murray; sister, Catherine Elizabeth Linegar; brother, Raymond Linegar and son-in-law Bruce Davidson.
She is survived by sister, Margie Hunt; son, William "Bill" (Carol) Murray; daughter, Janice Davidson; son, Eugene "Gene" (Debbi) Murray; daughter, Veda (Marc) Duckworth; son, Gary ( Lori) Murray; daughter, Stacey Spalding Murray; grandchildren, Robert, Shannon, Sherry (Brian), Stephanie (Blake), Angela (Matt), Toni, Charlie (Stacy), Chaddie (Jonah), Michael (Savannah), Nikki, Ryan (Christina), Jason (Lisa), Holly, Zachery, Denver and Demi; 27 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday.
