

Catherine was born February 6, 1922 in Evansville to the late John and Clara (Groeninger) Hartig.
Mrs. Buttry was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ on West Michigan Street. She retired from Faultless Caster after 30 years of service and had previously worked at Indiana Bell Telephone.
Surviving are her daughter, Diane (Wendell) Burkhart of Evansville, two grandchildren Brian (Chelsea) and Bradley Burkhart; two great grandsons, Alexander and Lucas Burkhart and many cousins.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Starlus “Tom” Buttry in February of 2014.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Jeff Long officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
The family wishes to thank Dr. E. Steed Jackson, Dr. Mufti, Dr. Bhasin and the caring staffs of the Deaconess VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Center, Solarbron Terrace and Deaconess Hospital.
