Donald R Poole

Don was born April 3, 1952 in Hopkins County, KY to the late James R. Poole and Edna (Ausenbaugh) Poole. He was a 1970 graduate of FJ Reitz High School and the owner and operator of The Billiard Shop for 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and fishing.

Surviving Don are his wife of 10 years, Carolyn Garrison Poole; a son, Ryan Poole of Evansville; his mother, Edna Poole of Evansville; stepchildren, Jill Russell, Cory Garrison and Jenny Copeland; sisters, Diann (Glen) Schlensker of Evansville and Pollyanna (Larry) Franks of Laurens, SC; brothers, J. Rodger (Karen) Poole of Newburgh and William “Bill” (Brenda) Poole of Evansville; step grandchildren, Tanner Russell, Gavin, Hudson and Brady Copeland; his uncle Paul Ausenbaugh, many nieces and nephews and his favorite dogs, Gizzie and Rudy.

In addition to his father, Don was preceded in death by a brother Randy Poole.

Funeral services for Don will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Mitch Stichler officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
