Helen Ann was born in Evansville, Indiana on August 16, 1930 to the late Anthony Mathias and Anna Helen (Bayer) Schafer. She graduated from Memorial High School and retired from Japan Airlines after many years of service in the airlines industry. She enjoyed walking and spending time in the outdoors.
She is survived by her step-son, Jerry McCormick (Tami); by her nieces and nephews, Robert Schafer, Tony Schafer, Linda Ernspiger, Kimanna Whitehead and Timothy Schafer; and by her step-grandson, Justin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by 8 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Father Ted Tempel officiating. Private entombment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
