Helen Patricia Sloan

Pat was a 1959 Reitz graduate.

She was a member of Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church. Her heart belonged to her family. She loved and cared for everyone she met.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jack and Robert Cox.

She is survived by husband of 53 years, Ben; daughters, Cheryl Shoptaw (Larry) of Newburgh and Laura Allen (Philip) of Day, NY; son, Greg Sloan (Le'Ann) of Evansville; grandchildren, Steven (Rebekah), Jonathan (Samantha), Hannah, and Rebekah Shoptaw, Justin, Sarah, Katelyn, and Spencer Sloan; sisters, Mary Reibel of Ohio, Betty Stansberry of Bloomington and Phyllis (Joe) Beliles of Kentucky; sister-in-law, Ruth Deller and brother-in-law, John Sloan (Gladys) of Newburgh.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastors John and Rodney Sloan, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
