Jim was born December 12, 1950 in Evansville to the late Malcolm “Ted” and Mary(Marvel) Garrison. He was a 1968 graduate of FJ Reitz High School and had worked as aparts salesman for Moutoux Auto and Machine Company.
Surviving Jim are his three children, Jill Russell, Cory Garrison and Jenny (Jason)
Copeland; grandchildren, Tanner Russell, Gavin, Hudson and Brady Copeland; brother-inlaw,
Randy Freeman; niece, Shannon (Dave) Ottman; nephew, Chris Freeman; great
nieces, great nephews and several cousins.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sisters, Patty Garrison and
Nancy Freeman.
Funeral services for Jim will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Veltri Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at Pierre Funeral
