Kathleen D. McCullough

Kathleen D. McCullough, 97 of Evansville passed away at 4:50 pm, Friday, January 17, 2014 at Evansville Protestant Home.

Kathleen was born September 4, 1916 in Evansville the daughter of the late A.B. and Katherine (Hillenbrand) Cummings. She was a 1934 graduate of Bosse High School and a 71 year member of Bethel United Church of Christ. Kathleen had worked at Sater’s Clothing Store and as a secretary for her church. She retired from Schultheis Insurance Agency. Kathleen was a member of numerous local organizations. She was past president of Howard Roosa PTA and past matron of Evansville Chapter #555 Order of the Eastern Star. Kathleen was a member of Isis Temple #41 Daughters of the Nile, No Ruz Grotto Ladies Auxiliary and Good Samaritan Home Auxiliary where she also volunteered.

She is survived by sons, Warren E. McCullough of Evansville and Gary Wilson McCullough and his wife, Keiko, of Monroe, NC, grandchildren, Eric McCullough and his wife, Eileen, and Julie (Verkamp) Clary and her husband, Nathan, all of Indianapolis, IN and great-grandson, Simon Robert Clary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Wilfred “Mac” McCullough in 2007.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Reverend Joe Schulte officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 pm until 7 pm, Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel where Evansville Chapter #555 Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a Walk Through at 6 pm followed by Isis Temple #41 Daughters of the Nile Memorial Service. Friends may call again from 9 am until time of service at 10 am, Wednesday.
