Linda "Kay" (Litsey) Pike, 64, of Evansville, Ind., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at her home.
Kay was born in Evansville, Ind., on September 18, 1947, to the late Jesse James and Grace (Jones) Litsey. Kay provided daycare services for 23 years to many children. She was like a grandma to them and she was affectionately known to them as "Kay-Kay". Kay gave so much love to other people, especially the children she cared for. She attended Saint Joseph Catholic Church in the county and loved her dog M-chee. Kay's greatest joy was preparing meals and spending time with her family.
Kay is survived by her daughters, Alisa Webster, Tammy Hardy, and Kathy (Khris) Seger, all of Evansville, Ind.; son, John (Annette) Trout III, of Holland, Ind.; brother, Bobby (Janice) Litsey, of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Brittaney Keene, Allyson Harlow, Mary & Jessica Webster, Robert & Bradley Williams, Erin Cook, Sydney and Emily Seger, and Luke Trout; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Pike; parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 24, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in the county, 6202 W. Saint Joseph Rd., Evansville, Ind., with Father Gene Schroeder celebrating. Burial will follow at Alexander Memorial Park.
Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a memorial service at 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, Ind., and again from 9:30 a.m. until Mass time at the church on Friday.
