Lois Jeannine Wambach

Jeannine was born in Evansville, IN, on March 31, 1931, the daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Christine (Rudy) Malone. She was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1949 and enjoyed staying in touch with friends from school. Jeannine worked as a Teacher’s Aide for EVSC and retired from there in 1986. She enjoyed her time with her family and grandchildren, reading devotions, IU Basketball, attending Broadway musicals, movies and her cat, Chico. Jeannine was a member of Three Arts, Good Sam Auxiliary, Indiana State Teachers Retirement Group and St. Johns UCC downtown since 1951 where she was active in Women’s Guild and Adult Sunday School. She also volunteered at Good Samaritan retirement home.

She is survived by her children, Melanie Howard of Cincinnati, OH, Richard (Rick) Wambach of Evansville, IN and Marty Wambach (Robin) of Danville, IN; grandchildren Joe Wambach (Emily), Scott Wambach (Rachel), Mattie Wambach, Grace Wambach, Richard Wambach, Benjamin Howard, and Rachel Howard.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Melvin Wambach in 1997.

The family would like to extend their heart-felt gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff at 5th South, STICU and Comfort Care of St. Mary’s Medical Center and Heart to Heart Hospice. Their care for Jeannine went above and beyond.

Funeral Services will be held at 7 pm, Friday, March 3, 2017 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Reverend Lynn Martin officiating. Entombment will be Private in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Friends may visit from 3 pm until time of service at 7 pm, Friday, March 3, 2017 at Boone Funeral Home East.
