

She retired from Evansville Sheet Metal Works and was a long-time member and volunteer at St. Benedict Cathedral.
Sophia was preceded in death by her siblings, Leo Hohl, Olivia Hohl Schmidt, Frank Hohl, Jr., Sr. Mary Edith Hohl, Sr. Mary Lois Hohl and Mildred Hohl Krueger.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Taylor; children, Susan (Jim) Watterson, Michael Bolby and Steven (Cita) Bolby; step-daughters, Shona Flick, Kelly (Scott) Haire and Allison (Steve) Robinson; grandchildren, Amy (Tony Dorris) Watterson, Bryan (Elizabeth) Watterson, Stephanie Bolby and Christopher Bolby; step-grandchildren, Jerry Parmenter, Billy Parmenter, Randy Haire; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Travis and Jamie Joseph Born; step-great-grandchildren, Olivia Parmenter; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2015, at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends visited Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel and Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time at the church.
