William Henry Schnur Jr.

William "Bill" Schnur, 89, of Evansville, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015, at West River Health Campus. He was born March 4, 1925, in Evansville, to the late William H. and Anna (Neihaus) Schnur, Sr.

He retired from Whirlpool Corporation and enjoyed farming in the bottoms at Union township. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Wanda; parents; sisters, Alfreida, Esther, Helen, and Marie; and brother, Elmer.

He is survived by his son, Gary (Lisa) Schnur; daughters, Tanya (Charlie) McDaniel and Faye (Skitch) Hawkins; grandchildren, Erik, Kelly, Seth, Jamie, Jennifer, and Mindi; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Bill's family would like to thank the caring and loving staff at West River.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, with burial to follow. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street.
