Annette was born on Sept. 6th, 1939 to Henry and Leona Soderberg in Seattle Wa. She graduated from Edmonds High School and then attended the University of Washington.
Annette met the love of her life LeRoy in 1957 at a school dance at Edmonds High School following the Edmonds-Marysville football game, where he asked her to dance and the rest is history. They married on Friday, August 19th, 1960 at the Greenlake Methodist Church in Seattle Wa.
Annette and LeRoy resided in Marysville, where they raised their two children Scott and Stacey. She worked for the Marysville School District, starting at Pinewood Elementary and then spending most of her years as the Secretary for the Director of Special Education, retiring after more than 26 years of service. Annette had a special place in her heart for the special education children and their teachers. She knew Special Education inside and out, keeping on top of everything and kept the department running.
Annette had a contagious laugh. She lit up every room she walked into with love, laughter, and her quick wit. Annette and LeRoy loved to attend the Husky football games and are Seattle Seahawk season ticket holders from the first year in the Kingdome to present. Annette had a beautiful singing voice and raised her family surrounded with music. She was a very talented lady, she loved to craft, tole paint, play cards, cook, sew, garden, snowmobile, and spend time with her husband and family at their vacation home near Lake Wenatchee.
Annette was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother, supporting them with all of their school, sporting, and extracurricular activities, including being a Girl Scout leader and involved with Marysville Little League. She loved to watch her grandsons play baseball and football, traveling to all of their events. Everyone she came in contact with loved her. She was called mom, grandma, and gma by all. We were always told by others that they wished they had a mom and grandmother like her, and always she treated everyone like her own family.
She is survived by her loving husband, LeRoy of 55 years; her son, Scott Hunter (Patricia Gonzales); daughter, Stacey (Donald) Nickell; 12 grandchildren, Patrick, Jakob (Nicole), Ryan, Andrew, Joseph, Megan, Lukas, Kelsey, Austin, Bennet, Caden, and AnaSofia; and one great granddaughter Madyson; her sister, Joyce Johnson; many extended family members and close friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 12 - 4 pm on Saturday, January 16th, 2016 at Stacey and Don’s home. Please bring your love, laughter, and stories to share because she was all about a good time!
A private family graveside service will be held per her request.
