

Christopher AnhKhoi Nguyen was born on February 27, 1997 in Renton, Washington, to David AnhToan and Phuong-Thi Nguyen of Hue, Vietnam. Christopher passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015, at his childhood home in Everett, Washington. He was 18 years old.
Christopher was a senior at Cascade High School and a member of the National Honors Society, due to graduate in the spring. He also attended early start college courses at Everett Community College and had been recently accepted to the University of Washington as a sophomore in the pre-engineering program. He had hoped to pursue a similar career path as his parents, given his passion for science and technology.
Cascade High School recognized him for his outstanding work as a tutor during the PAWS (Program Assisting with Success) for his excellent math skills and ability to help students at all levels. Additionally, Christopher received numerous distinctions for his studies in Math, Science and Scholastic Art including honor awards for his Advanced Placement Program Examinations. Among his achievements, Christopher was a member of the Cascade Sound Marching Band and Cascade Wind Bands and was awarded Horn Line Best Performer and Concert Band Most Inspirational. He also participated in the Bands of America Regional Championship.
Christopher attended Eisenhower Middle School, he received several accolades for his leadership, academic performance, sportsmanship and musical accomplishments. Christopher attended Penny Creek Elementary in the highly capable program.
Christopher loved photography, technology, and innovation. He enjoyed scouting, the outdoors, rock-climbing, swimming and playing music. Christopher was an avid gamer, his competitive nature helped him see every challenge as opportunity to develop his talent. By the age of 16 he was an Eagle Scout and had earned three Eagle Palms. Christopher was a natural leader and mentor, spending his afternoons tutoring math. His sense of community and commitment to volunteerism made him a role model to his brothers and friends. He also spent many hours on various community service projects with fellow scouts and family members.
He smiled in every circumstance possible. To many of his peers, he was the kindest person and greatest friend. He never hesitated to help others whenever help was needed.
Christopher will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, and friend.
Christopher is survived by his grandmothers Lieu Thi Le and Luu Thi Thai; parents Phuong- Thi Nguyen and David (AnhToan) Nguyen; brothers Albert Nguyen, Andrew Nguyen, Henry Nguyen; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
