Eugene Douglas Beverly, Sr. was born December 23rd, 1935 in a small town called Owens Virginia, which was part of King George County Virginia. He was the middle son to Alfred and Blanche Beverly with an older brother named Benjamin and younger sister Maryann Beverly. They worked hard in school and on the family ranch. After finishing High School, Eugene was tired of working on the family farm, and decided to move to Washington DC to start a new direction in life. His first job was in a restaurant in the lower Georgetown area where he met a beautiful young lady named Margaret J. Edmunds, who soon became his wife. She gave him 3 lovely children whose names are Daphne, Eugene, Jr. and Marco. He supported the family working for Safeway store in sales for 19 years. After 19 years, he was laid off and decided to take a giant step in moving his family from Washington DC / Maryland area to Billings, Montana where his brother was living retiring from the Military branch of the Air Force. With God guiding us all the way Eugene found work after three months with a company called Ryan's IGA Grocery, where worked for 10 more years. Then, early in 1986, the children decided to move to the Seattle, Washington area for schooling. Then Margaret and Eugene moved to Seattle also to join the rest of the family. Eugene's youngest son Marco passed away in 1987 which was 6 years after losing both of his parents in a terrible house fire. In 2 months Margaret was diagnosed with MS, Eugene was her caregiver for 14 years, and in 2000 she passed away. In 2009 Eugene was a proud grandparent to his oldest granddaughter Paris, who is now 3 years old. And in 2011, he was blessed with another granddaughter, whose name is Paige, who is now 1 year old. He is also survived by his stepsisters; Ida, Alice, Sadie, Adelle, and Rosie. Eugene and Margaret raised a family in a strong Christian home with strong beliefs and values. He was a strong, loving man who enjoyed playing with his children and also loved to play softball, sing and play the harmonica, and movies. He loved rooting and cheering the Washington Redskins. But most of all, he loved God and his family.
