

Mr. Floyd E. Fisher, 94, passed away on Sunday, January 2nd, at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett. Mr. Fisher was born in Newcomerstown, Ohio on October 5, 1916 to the late Joseph Franklin and Artha Mahala Burdette Fisher. Mr. Fisher was a WW2 veteran, serving in the Army Air Force from 1940 to 1945. Six months beginning in 1943 was spent in Alaska where he and his crew were one of several crews which repaired the planes which helped force the enemy back from the Aleutian chain. Mr. Fisher moved his young family to Everett, Washington in 1941 when he was stationed at Paine Air Field, and after the war ended built their home himself.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Quillin Fisher, his three brothers: Roy, Edgil, and Warren Fisher, and two of his three sisters: Clara Dell and Maxine. Mr. Fisher is survived by his two daughters: Barbara Svajdlenka and Sandra Schupan, by his three grandchildren: Eric Svajdlenka, Kathleen (Joshua) Ring, and Valerie Schupan, and one sister: Doris Angle, and neices and nephews. He is also survived by his breakfast bunch: Don Matheson, Dick Wilkie, Lee Wilson, Jon Prestek, Bill Clemans, and Pete Facchini, and special Army Air Force buddies: Lyle Nelson and Darrell (Doris) Booher.
