Joice Arnold of Stanwood, WA, passed away peacefully at her home on July 6, 2011. She was born on February 9, 1928 in Crawford, NE.
She pursued her nursing degree in Omaha, NE where she ultimately met her husband, Robert, and began her family. She was happily married for 54 years. Her husband and family were her greatest love, pride, joy and comfort.
Joice had a deep love for nursing. Her career spanned 37 years and resulted in many lasting friendships and memories.
She moved to Stanwood, WA with her husband in 1983, where she was involved in Silver Sneakers and the Stanwood Senior Center in her later years. She developed many close friendships in the community. She was loved by all that knew her.
Many special thanks to Hospice of the Northwest and our caregivers from Visiting Angels that made our mother's last days at home as comfortable as possible.
Joice was preceded in death by her husband in 2004.
She is survived by son, Jeb; daughters, Shari (Greg) Riggs and Sandy; five grandchildren, Kevin, Mark, Lindsey, Brian and Patrick. We will miss her deeply!
