Joe served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 22 years, worked at the Ketchikan Pulp Mill and the Alaska Marine Ferry System. He enjoyed all that Alaska could offer, he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and sometimes a Seahawks one too!
He loved his Children, Wayne Hurm, San Tan Valley, AZ , Carl Hurm ( deceased ) Loretta ( John ) Tavares, Tammy Hurm, Marysville, WA, Grandchildren, Christopher ( Carrie ) Tavares, Luke ( Kelsey ) Tavares, Sabrina Tavares, Katie Tavares, Lindsey Glass, Great Grandchildren, Carter Glass, Payton and Tyson Tavares, Gabe Tavares, Mahkail and Hailee Finco, Landen McCutchen, Bella Wilkins, Twins Mya and Braxten McCutchen ( deceased )
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:AM at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA, 98203, followed by a Graveside service from 11:00 AM to12:00 AM at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, 1615 SE Everett Mall Way, WA 98208.
