

She was preceded in death by husband Vince in August 2014, and son Dennis in July 2001.
Vera Marie Wicklund was born on July 22, 1934 in Snohomish, Washington to Rudy and Laila Wicklund; she lived in the Swans Trail/Fobes area her entire life. She was a 1952 graduate of Snohomish High School.
Marie leaves behind her son Tom of Everett; daughter Janice Stjern (Jeff) of Fobes and daughter-in-law Holli Waggoner (Stan) of Lake Stevens; as well as sister Irene Flom of Phoenix, Arizona and brother Wayne Wicklund (Linda) of Conconully, Washington.
She also leaves five grandchildren: Tristan Johnson (Dylan) of Lake Stevens; Kelli Elsasser (Brent) of Lake Stevens; Katy Mullin (Kalan) of Marysville; Patrick Lafferty (Brionna) of Swans Trail and Jesse Mullin (Hannah) of Granite Falls. Also six great-grandchildren: Connor, Gavin, Macy, Cameron, Olivia and Ember.
Marie was a life-long member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Swans Trail; but also sang alto for more than 20 years in the Snohomish United Methodist Church choir. She was a frequent contributor and attendee at many functions at the Snohomish Senior Center.
Remembrances may be made to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County.
Her family, her fellow church members, her classmates, her friends, and her neighbors along Foster Slough Road will miss her greatly. Grandma, Christmas just won’t be the same without your Special K Bars!
Funeral Service was held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home.
Private burial was held on October 26, 2015 at the G.A.R Cemetery Snohomish, Washington.
