Mary Lou Lindell

Mary Lou Lindell, 90, of Lake Stevens, WA, was born on April 27, 1932, in Lake City, Iowa to Ida and Earl Bowles. Her final days were spent surrounded by beloved friends and family, and she passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2022.

Mary Lou married the love of her life, Carmen Lindell, in 1959. Together they raised her children; Colleen Crowley, Sam Patterson, Tab Lindell, Greg Lindell and Todd Lindell.

Mary Lou and Carmen made a happy home together on Walker Hill in Lake Stevens. They enjoyed camping and fishing trips to Alaska and loved to explore the beautiful Northwest. Mary Lou loved spending time with her family and spent much of her time knitting and crocheting. She was also a prolific canner. She will be remembered by many people for her generous gifts of baby blankets and outfits, as well as her delicious pickles and jams. She looked forward every year to co-hosting a Christmas Bazaar with her family. Mary Lou’s caring and beautiful spirit, sassy ways, and sense of humor will be sorely missed.

Mary Lou is survived by her sister Maxine Butts; her children and their spouses, Colleen Crowley (Duane), Tab Lindell (Michelle), Greg Lindell (Shauna Barton), and Todd Lindell (Kristie); children by marriage Gary Lindell (Patty) and Jeanne Estes (John); and eleven grandkids, 16 great-grandkids and six great-great-grandkids.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Marie Whitley, Barb Stanley, and Donna Gorsage; son, Sam Patterson; and children by marriage Patti Fitch, and Glenn Lindell.
