Patricia "pat" Cummins was born September 6th, 1929, to Ray and Mayme Cummins. Her brother, Bob Cummins, was 9 years older and she always had him to look up to. She attended Everett public schools and graduated from Everett High School in 1947, then went to work for General Telephone Company.
In 1948, Pat married Bob Peterson. They had two children, Susie and Kip. SHe then went to work at the Snohomish County Clerk's Office, where she later became deputy clerk. Patricia worked there for 25 years. During this time, she married Bill Brust. They opened a candy store, which she managed. She worked for BT Development and later joined Schmidt Family Chiropractic.
She volunteered at the Providence gift shop, the campaign advocating for the Navy to come to Everett, many political campaigns, and hula dancing in nursing homes. Pat's heart was big, volunteering was her passion, and her work ethic was impeccable. Pat was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she sang in choir. Her joy was everything to do with children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; ball games, cooking dinners, and any activity they were involved in. She loved going to her summer home at Bush Point and loved to dance.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Mayme, her brother Bob Cummins, first husband Bob Peterson, second husband Bill Brust, nephew Bob Cummins, and her beloved son Kip Peterson. She is survived by her daughter Susie (Bill) Schmidt and their four children, Bill (Kim), Brenda (Mark), Robb (Petra), and Kyle (Mikala); her daughter-in-law Renee Peterson and her and Kip's children, Kory (Ray), and Jennifer (Jesse); and her sixteen great grandchildren. She loved and was loved by many other family members, including members of the Cummins family, nieces Cathy and Jane; members of the Peterson family, especially Janet, Cheri, and Patty; and members of the Brust family.
Patricia's last five years were spent at the Terrace at Beverly Lake Memory Care Center. She loved her time there and had exceptional care. Special thanks to John Paul and the staff for the compassionate care they provided.
