

Born on March 19, 1927, Raleigh died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on January 6, 2017. Raleigh was born in Aberdeen, WA, and grew up in Gorst, WA. He joined the Navy during WWII and received honorable discharge in 1946. Raleigh attended the University of Washington graduating in 1950 with a BA in Accounting and subsequently received his CPA license. He worked in accounting and was hired at the Boeing Commercial Airplane Division in 1954. Raleigh had a long successful career in finance at Boeing before retiring as the "Director of Finance - 747/767 Programs" in 1989. Raleigh married Mary Ann Linneman in 1949, and had four children, Kathleen -1950, Kenneth -1952, Greg -1954, and Barbara -1955. Raleigh met Patsy Springer in 1976, after dating Patsy for four years they finally married in 1980, thus inheriting two daughters, from Patsy's previous marriage. Patsy and Raleigh traveled extensively during their marriage and you seldom saw one without the other. Like two parts of a whole they enjoyed each other's company tremendously. Raleigh played in a band during college and was a talented piano player, painter, woodworker, and electrician. True to his nature, Raleigh was a real gentleman who was loved by all who knew him. Raleigh leaves behind his loving wife, Patsy, sons, Kenneth Johnson and wife, Linda, Gregory (Ray J) Johnson and wife, Nannette, daughter, Kathleen Johnson, and step daughters, Rose Springer and husband, Jorin, and Teresa Eble and husband, Brent. He leaves behind nine grandchildren, Scott and Kent Johnson, Amy Hill, Chelsea Johnson, Danielle and Skyler Dufour, William Gruber, Alyssa and Bryan Eble. He also leaves behind six great grand-children, Brent and Brady Johnson, Chase and Blake Hill, Lily and Wyatt Gruber. Raleigh is survived by brother, Kenneth Johnson, and was preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Johnson, his parents, Hazel and Frank Johnson, and sister, Phyllis Wilson. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m on Monday January 16, 2017, at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery Everett, Washington.
