

In honor of Richard
Richard Anthony Kane, 87, of Tulalip, Washington passed away peacefully in Marysville, WA on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. He was born May 22, 1936, in Port Ludlow, WA to Chester and Violet Kane.
Richard married Leann Lind on May 2, 1963, in Everett. He graduated from Everett High School in 1955 and thereafter enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country. He also owned several gas stations with his brother Phil. He later worked as a maintenance department manager at Everett Pad & Paper, where he retired.
Richard was a kind, gentle soul who enjoyed cars, tractors, and gardening. He loved all things Chevy and could often be found working on his 1969 truck. He also loved spending time with his family and would make his famous sourdough pancakes every Sunday for breakfast.
He is survived by his wife Leann; his children Angela Fink, Mark Kane (Joanne), Karen Gillam (Bill), Christine Brewder (Brian), Patrick O'Toole (Tamara), and Jeannie Briones (Larry); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings Patricia, Phil, Eileen, and Jim. He was preceded in death by his sister, Susie, and his two beloved dogs, Lady 1 and Lady 2.
The family would also like to extend their gratitude to Grace Wamala for her support in Richard's last few months.

Leann Carol (Lind) Kane, 80, of Tulalip, Washington passed away peacefully in Marysville, WA on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. She was born July 16, 1945, in Everett, WA to Milton and Emma Lind.
Leann married the love of her life, Richard Kane, on May 2, 1963, in Everett. She graduated from Everett High School in 1963.
Leann was a big-hearted, generous spirit who welcomed everyone into her family. Above all else, she cherished her roles as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife. She was a true fighter, stubbornly strong and never one to give up, and was greatly admired for it.
She is survived by her children Karen Gillam (Bill); Christine Brewder (Brian); Joanne Kane; Patrick O'Toole (Tamara); and Jeannie Briones (Larry); brother, Paul; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son, Mark; and her two beloved dogs, Lady 1 and Lady 2.
The family would also like to extend their gratitude to Grace Wamala for her support in Leann's last few years.
A Memorial Service for Richard and Leann will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA 98203, on May 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM
