Robert (Bobby/Rob) Velez 41 passed away August 21, 2015, after a battle with cancer. He was born January 10, 1974 in New York to the late Virginia (G'gee) Mardini and Robert Velez. He moved to Washington in 1999. While living there, he worked for Everett Convention Center and then for Seattle Art Museum. Robert loved music, animals and sports.
He was happy when his hometown team the Seattle Seahawks won the Superbowl in 2014.
Robert is survived by his father, Robert Velez, his sisters Diana & Jenna Mardini & stepfather Suheil Mardini. His (Godmother) Aunt Joanne & Uncle Ed Polis. Also girlfriend Sharis Carlson, Andrew & devoted friends Doreen & Bethany.
He is also survived by his grandmother, Amparo, many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. He was a kindhearted & compassionate man, who will be missed by all who knew him.
Robert's remains are being sent to New York, since he always wanted to return there. A funeral mass will be on Friday Sept 4, 2015 at 9:30am, at Our Lady of Angels Church 7320 4 Ave Brooklyn, NY. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery Brooklyn, NY.
