We are sad to announce the passing of our dear and beloved mom/sister Seleena Asamany, age 59, of Lake Stevens, Washington who passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023. Seleena was born in Greater Accra, Ghana and moved to the US, where she lived in New York, Arizona and Lake Stevens.
An expressive, optimistic, and uninhibited individual, she was a performer in the theater of life. To everyone around her, she seemed to be eternally happy, and she willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life she touched. For Seleena, bringing out the best in any situation was as easy as offering a smile, a witty remark or the twinkle of an eye. And with just those simple gestures, she could evoke the most pleasant of emotions. Seleena really mastered the art of living and had great fun in doing so.
Seleena brought joy to all of those around her. She never had a mean bone in her body. She loved to have a good time and was an eternal optimist, always looking on the bright side of things. She loved to share her energy, wit, and her zest for all of her activities with her friends and family. She will be remembered with a smile.
Seleena is survived by her son Fred and his wife Rita; her brothers Dave, Rich and Fred. Her sisters; Enyonam and Emefa.
She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Samantha and Isabella.
A celebration of her joy and life will be held on Friday July 14, 2023 at Evergreen Funeral home and cemetary at 11AM. 4504 Broadway Everett, WA 98203, Washington.
Seleena will be laid to rest in Evergreen cemetary 4504 Broadway Everett, WA 98203, Washington.
