

Ted was born on October 17,1933, to Mabel Inez Spragg and Edward Earl Sawyer, in Lewiston, Montana. He grew up on a ranch with 5 brothers and 3 sisters. He loved to play basketball and do track. After high school, he went into the Air Force for 8 years. Four active duty and four in reserves.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, he started working for Boeing. He worked for 35 years as an engineer.
After retiring, Ted and Barbara traveled in their RV seeing family, and helping to take care of Barbara's parents. Ted and Barbara bought property in Snohomish, Washington for their retirement years. Ted was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved serving as the ward clerk and keeping the records up to date. He also was a referee for Church basketball. Basketball was always a part of his life. In June of 2020, Ted moved in with Susie and Ron Barnes spending the rest of his days watching T.V., playing games, listening to the radio and listening to E-Books on his phone.
Ted was a father of 4, husband to 3, and was blessed with many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 wife. Ted's family and friends will have a small graveside service to share memories at Floral Hills Cemetery on 11/25/2022 2 pm.
