

Tom Lochmann, age 73, passed away peacefully on August 2nd 2025. Born in Inglewood, California to Swiss and German immigrants John and Mary Lochmann, Tom grew up alongside his brother, John, in a loving close-knit family. As a child, he enjoyed family gatherings and traditional Swiss picnics, celebrating their heritage and the importance of family.
His first love was music, after moving to the Pacific Northwest he and his brother formed the band Cryer and while touring, he met Nanette, his wife whom he loved dearly. Their first date sparked a bond that lasted nearly 50 years.
Following the adventures of band life, he continued working at Stevens Pass Ski area allowing his 4 children to enjoy the great outdoors offered by the PNW. Tom had a special bond with his father, often taking fishing trips that began with a thermos of coffee and ended with a fresh-caught steelhead dinner, lessons in patience, love, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Eventually he became an entrepreneur owning and operating a successful trucking company, Gray Stone Trucking. In the trucking community he was affectionately known as ¨The Masher,¨ where he built lasting friendships and among his colleagues, he was known for his reliability and generosity.
The Lochmann household was always full of life, laughter, and a touch of adventure, like every family there were struggles but the love was always there. He was a deeply spiritual man who studied many religious perspectives. He strived to lead by example and inspire those around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife Nanette, their four children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends who became family over the years.

Grandchildren: TJ and Alanna Lochmann, Zack Bert, Tarissa and Josh Daquila, Tristina and Cody Elledge, Sophia Lochmann, Maddison Dennis, Mya Dennis; Ryan Wells, Tyler and Cashmir Wells, Austin and Ariana Wells; Wylee Lochmann, Kandice Tremberth, Krista Lochmann, Jordan Lochmann; and Zoie Lochmann.
Great-grandchildren: Kai and Jun Lochmann, Hayden and Ryder Daquila, Kenzie, Kenna, Kendra, and Kenley Elledge; Landon, Lola and Jalissa Wells, Maliya, Skyla and Kaleo Wells; Melody and Scarlett Lochmann, Jaxon Kazanobic, Charlie and Noami Wyckoff.

Tom was known for his thoughtful nature, deliberate speech, and honesty. He listened deeply and responded with reflection and care. His talent, wisdom, and warmth touched everyone who knew him.
Tom’s presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit, love, music, and legacy of kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
