

Virginia graduated from Lake Stevens High School and Everett Community College.
In 1941, she met Hinton Parr who quickly became the love of her life. They were married later that year in October. Together they had three children daughter Barbara (Carl) Keipe, son Hinton "Earl" Parr, and daughter Marsha (Richard) Layton.
She had six grandchildren, Virginia "Gin" (Dan) Nordstrom, Carl "Ted" Keipe III and Lorrie (Joe) Cartwright, Michelle (Brian) McCrossen, Jennifer Layton and Kimberly (Jeffery) Jansen. She had 17 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sister Audrey Dotson of Wenatchee and “adopted” daughter Fran (Dave) Hurley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hinton E Parr, brothers Raymond & Stanley, sister Elaine and daughter Barbara.
She lavished her love and time on her family and many grandchildren. She loved reading, nature and gardening. She was very loving, giving, caring and kind.
As a lifelong believer of Jesus Christ, she had the blessed assurance of Heaven and was ready to meet the Lord at age 94. She passed peacefully at home into the arms of Jesus on November 7, 2016. Psalms 103.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Evergreen Funeral Home – Everett. Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 18, 2016 at Darrington Cemetery.
