Anna Pohlman

North Highlands, CA - Anna Margaret Pohlman, age 86 of North Highlands, CA passed away at home with her loving family on Saturday, November 20, 2021.

Born Anna Margaret Free in San Diego, CA, she has been a resident of North Highlands since 1968. She was a former volunteer of the Senior Gleanors for 26 years working various positions including Chief Crew Leader. She volunteered with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts while her children were part of the groups. Maggi was a member of St Lawrence Catholic Church and served as a Catechism teacher alongside her mother in her earlier years. She loved her family, genealogy, and playing Pogo games on the computer. As a military spouse married in January 1956, she played a vital role supporting her husband's Air Force career of twenty-three years.

Maggi was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Joseph F Pohlman Jr; her parents, Floyd Free and Annie Quigley; her step father, Gerald Quigley; her sister, Jeanne Booker; her brother, Raymond Free; and her sons, Joseph F Pohlman III and Gerald E Pohlman.

She is survived by her son Bruce (Tami) Pohlman and her daughter Johanna "Heidi" Pohlman ; brother Robert Free and sisters Dorothy Camarena and Gerri Liles; 11 grandchildren Lisa, Christine, Laura, Erica, Jessica, Renee, Megan, Steven Jr, Christopher, Austin, and Brianna; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Services will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Mt Vernon in Citrus Heights, CA. Interment will follow at Camellia Lawn Cemetery.
