

Beatrice, 86, passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2016 after a brief illness. She was born on July 31, 1929 to Lillian and Leslie Mervin Elfrink. Beatrice was born and raised in Woodland, CA. and attended nursing school in San Francisco. She worked as an OR nurse in S.F. and in Monterey/Carmel. She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who touched many people with her elegance, grace, wit, friendship and great storytelling abilities.
Beatrice is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas M. O’Maley; her sisters, Mildred Mosholder, Beverly Miller, and brother, George Elfrink all of Woodland, CA; her four daughters, Kathleen Frey (Marcel) of Houston, TX, Jane Filiti of Carmichael, CA, Mary Ann Van Noland (Frank) of Citrus Heights, CA, and Karen Cross (Rich) of Auburn, CA; her son, Thomas O’Maley Jr. (deceased); her eight grandchildren, Matthew and Thomas Frey of Houston, TX, Jeffrey Frey (Alicia) of San Antonio, TX, Lillian, Andrew and Ben Cross of Auburn, CA, Audrey and Elliott Van Noland of Citrus Heights, CA; two great-grandchildren, Cadence and Case Frey of San Antonio, TX; and sister-in-law, Maureen Griffin (Jim) of Beverly, MA. as well as many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
A Celebration of Beatrice’s Life will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016, 12:00 Noon at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5751 Locust Ave, Carmichael, CA. followed by a luncheon and graveside services at Fair Oaks Cemetery, 7780 Olive St, Fair Oaks, CA.
