Carrie lived a long and wonderful life. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, cooking, bird watching, and bird houses. Her favorite music was Spanish guitar and Spanish romance.
Carrie retired from O’Connor Hospital in San Jose, CA.
Her love, laughter, and generosity will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by her husband George E. Lewis, 7 children, 3 step sons, 11 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren; 3 brothers, 5 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is very grateful to Vitas Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Carrie during her time on hospice and especially during her final days.
At Carrie’s request, a funeral service will be private.
