

Clifford Joseph Landaker of Orangevale, California was born in Brainerd, Minnesota on July 6, 1929. The son of Clifford H. and Naida Landaker, his family moved to North Dakota and later South Dakota. Growing up during the depression, he worked odd jobs and performed various farming chores from the age of seven. His family moved to Northern California when he was a teenager. He graduated from Marysville High School class of 1947. He married Cecelia (Clark) Landaker in 1948, his wife of nearly forty years. He built his first home in 1957 in Linda, California. They eventually settled and built a life together in Orangevale, California on what is now Landaker Lane.
Clifford graduated from Yuba College early in their marriage. Together they had four children, Judy (Bertin), Dianne (Hall), Cliff and Patti. He continued his studies for a time at Sacramento State University. He was involved in the YMCA and active in the Methodist church. He decided to focus on a career with Aerojet Solid Propulsion Company which lasted over 25 years. Over the years he also served as board member of the Aerojet Center Federal Credit Union and the Triple S Federal Credit Union.
After Cecelia passed away, Clifford volunteered for a mission trip to Bolivia with his church family and became a Sutter Hospice Care Volunteer from 1993 - 2000. Clifford married Susan (Jensen), his second wife of nearly 23 years in 1993. They were active in the Lutheran church together for many years before her passing in 2015.
Clifford leaves behind his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a brother, Paul Landaker and a sister, Joanne Scott. He was fortunate to be able to live out his life at home these past years and have his family by his side. Clifford left us Monday night, August 2, 2021 to join his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in eternity.
A funeral service will take place at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks on August, 18, 2021 at 1:00.
