Dan was the most confident hard working Airman I've ever served with. He was at his best when tasked to solve the most complex malfunctions. When all else failed, the call went out: "I need Dan over here!" Having him on our Altus C-5 swing shift maintenance team was the best of times. He was respected, funny, sarcastic and made those around him better. His friendship made me check/reflect on myself in so many positive ways. The country owes you a debt of gratitude Dan Taylor. I'll see you in the next life.

Dan was always building something or working on a project. We often chatted with him as he worked in his garage. He was always friendly and willing to chat. We will miss his smiling face and positive attitude. He offered to help us build a hardtop gazebo when we talked about purchasing one like this. Our prayers go out to the Taylor family

Our hearts are broken. We are speechless and still in shock. 
We just spent a fun weekend with Danny in December for our son’s wedding, and we will cherish those memories forever. 

He always texted our family group, “The Taylor Gang,” to tell us how much he loved us. The feeling was mutual, and we always told him that too.

Danny was by far one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. Besides being a wonderful nephew and cousin, he was incredibly entertaining — always laughing, smiling, and telling stories. His warmth and humor will never be forgotten.

Being on the same team as Dan was a great reward. He was the light of the room, his charisma, charming wit and sense of humor were often the best part of our days. Dan always cared about people, and his consideration and support for others was boundless. Always friendly with a contagious smile, we both enjoyed many times sharing quotes from our favorite movies, but Dan's ability to impersonate others was unmatched and would leave our faces hurting from laughter. With a strong work ethic, and a drive for excellence in his work, he never made excuses and always offered solutions with his many contributions. It was an honor to know Dan, he will be missed but never forgotten.

I'm deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your brother. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time.

I send my heartfelt condolences to Dan’s wife and family. I met Dan when I first started working Security at the FAA in Mather Field. One particular night I was working graveyard shift. It was winter and I was bundled up from head to toe. My face was covered with a gaiter and a beanie. You could barely see my eyes. I was patrolling through the chiller room quietly when poor Dam emerged from the office there, head down and he looked up and gasped and held his chest. I was like oh shit, Dan it’s me and pulled down my face mask. The look of fear quickly turned to laughter for both of us and Dan said “Dude you scared the shit outta me”. From then on I grew to adore the guy. Always smiling, cracking jokes, and imitating people. He was the best. 6 years later, I walk into chiller room at almost the same spot I come around the corner and Dan scares the begezzus out of me and we both started laughing. I’m glad you got me back Danny. It’s not going to be the same without you. I love you man.

My family and I send our deepest sympathies and condolences for your loss of Dan.  Dan was the most talented, energetic and proficient aircraft technician at Travis AFB.  I served alongside him for numerous years as we tackled the most challenging situations repairing the complex C-5 Galaxy aircraft.  Years passed and I was elated to see him at Northern California TRACON where he ensured the air traffic controllers had the best maintained equipment and facility. My spouse, the Air Traffic Manager would comment often on his excellent work. Dan, we were lucky to know you and you will be terribly missed.

Dan was always a bundle of laughs. We just left the hanger with our tools and there were at least 8 of us in the expeditor truck. Pretty sure Phil Guerrero was driving and all of a sudden an Oder that gagged you and made your eyes burn. Phil stopped the truck got out mentioning some colourful words and he knew who did it. Dan had a bottle of some fart spray or drops and I can still hear him laughing as the rest of us joined in colourful words with Phil. Dan always had something to make you laugh and you could see his child like smile as he did them! Thank you Dan for the memories, the laughter and kind words you gave to me and countless others. I know you are with Jesus and we will see you once again Brother.

Ohh, Mr Mayor.  I will miss your smiling face showing up to ReNew to either purchase  more houses and parts for your neighborhoods or to help other club people donate theirs. You always had a smile for everyone. I wish you would have felt able to reach out to any of us.  Angela, I pray that you feel the love and comfort of God's hands around you. And know that the village of Dan's  friends will come along side and surround you when asked.

Uncle Danny, my childhood was filled with your silly humor, you always made holidays at grandma Barbara’s full of laughs. I never saw you in a bad mood once in my entire life. I remember when I was failing math, dad said “I have no clue, we’re gana have uncle Danny tutor you”. You were patient with teaching me and I always remember you not making me feel bad when I was discouraged.
Being the flower girl for you and Angela’s wedding was such an honor for me at 8 years old, I felt important and had so much anxiety that I didn’t want to ruin my big role on your big day.
When my dad passed away when I was 14, you were so incredibly supportive. I still remember when they told me he passed, you were the first person I looked at in that room filled with our family. The hard days emotionally you had an open door for me to come stay at your house and watch the office. My love for that show comes from you.
You took me to the gym with you everyday when I was 16 as working out was an outlet for me emotionally. 
You took me and mason to tour the AFB and see all the planes when mason was 4 and that was one of the coolest memories we both hold.
I regret not being closer with you in the recent years. Your positive impact on my life will forever be cherished. In a world with few good influences for me, you were by far a guiding light. I love you Uncle Danny.

To the Taylor Family,

My heart goes out to your family during this difficult time.  May the love you share and the memories you hold bring you strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.  I worked with Dan on the Air Traffic side so I didn't see him every day, but when I did, he would always make his way to me to say, hello, good morning, or make a quick joke as he passed by.  He always used my name when he would see me and that little, small detail, always made me smile and make me feel good.  Sometimes it's those little, small details that makes a person stand out to another.  He was always smiling and so helpful whenever I needed something.  He made a difference to me, and I will be forever grateful to have had the honor to know him.  Again, my condolences to your family.

To the Taylor Family,

Dan was probably one of the nicest people I met in the FAA.  Coming from the Defense Department, I was hesitant learning the culture of the Department of Transportation.  So, it was a great joy to meet a fellow Air Force veteran, and one with such a quick laugh and welcoming demeanor.  My most enduring memory will be every year when they'd have the Capital Air Show, Dan and I would sit out back ... just two vets ... watching the thing we loved for so many years.  He was such a great guy and I hope these memories bring some measure of comfort during these difficult times.  The Nation was a better place because Dan served.

Our family was devastated to hear of Danny’s passing. He had such a kind heart and a great sense of humor. We admired his quirky way of telling stories that made us laugh. Joe and I were delighted when you came to visit us and we had great conversations over a meal at Bonefish Grill. Although Dan is gone he will never be forgotten. He leaves many cherished memories. The pain of separation is hard on those left behind. In your darkest hours of grief please know we care.  So many people were blessed to have known him and his way of looking at the world and making others feel  loved. Our prayers are with you in hope of bringing peace and comfort. When I learned he was Fred Green’s son-in-law,  20 years later, it warmed my heart to hear how fond Fred was of him. I am glad God gave us a path to reconnect while you were here in OKC. Classic Dan: “You haven’t changed a bit except, you’re old!”  I will NEVER forget when you showed up at roll call with a fresh Lloyd Christmas haircut!!! 

The world is far less spectacular without you in it.

Angela, my heart breaks for you. I have so many fond memories of Dan while he was stationed in Altus and even after he moved back to California. His great sense of humor; the ability to quote lines from ever movie he ever watched it seem; his Corvair and so many other things. He would ask to borrow my vacuum cleaner so he cut cut his hair. It was a Kirby vacuum cleaner and had all kinds of attachments, which included barber shears. When he left Altus he took the vacuum and all of the attachments with him.
I remember trips to Glorieta, New Mexico for the single adult conferences; Bible studies in my home; the many nights there would be a bunch of young airmen at my house watching movies and me telling them I had to go to bed and just make sure to turn off the light and lock the door when they left. 
Rob Christiansen told me Dan and Tim Linkletter played a part of him  dedicating his life to the Lord in 1990.
I loved him and was thankful I called him my friend. 
I pray our good God will cover you with His grace, love, comfort and everything you need.

Dan and I have known each other since 1992 and became great friends woking in the Airforce and Civil Service at Travis  AFB and Altus Oklahoma.

Ill always rember when he looked like the Teen Wolf. 🦊 After he  first got off Active  Duty Status with his hair and scragoly beard. I always  teased him about it, then get a HaHa... SCOTT TELL ANOTHER FUNNY!  In a yelling voice. 😄
