David E. Jones was born January 15, 1934, in New Albany, MS. After attending Ole Miss University, he joined the United States Air Force which eventually brought him to Mather Air Force Base in Rancho Cordova. After leaving the Air Force as a Major, he became a Folsom City Building Inspector, and eventually retired after 16 years. Legend has it, he was the only Building Inspector in the City of Folsom who personally kept every restaurant in town in business, and also encouraged every possible fast food franchise to open a restaurant in Folsom. Besides food and family, he enjoyed traveling and was an avid fisherman.
Dave went to be with the Lord he knew and loved on December 2, 2011.
