Doris went to spend everlasting life with Jesus Christ, her savior, on March 1, 2011 after losing her battle to Parkinson’s Disease. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, William D. Downs. Doris was a wonderful compassionate person with a terrific sense of humor which she was able to maintain throughout her confining illness. Doris is survived by her daughter, Sharon Demaree, her son, Jack Downs, 4 grandchildren, Christopher Demaree, Richard Demaree, William Demaree, Mike Downs, and several great grandchildren. Donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Services will be 10am Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Mount Vernon Mortuary.
