Dorothy Couchman Thayer Miller, 82, died August 4, 2011, surrounded by family in Orange County, California. Dorothy, a 60+ year resident of Sacramento, was born on August 10, 1928, in Oakdale, California. Dorothy was an active member of Bethel Temple, Capital Christian Center and Trinity Life Center. She volunteered with Teen Challenge, Senior Gleaners, Prayer Ministry, Usher Ministry, and sang in the choir for many decades. Dorothy was preceeded in death by her first husband of 35 years, Ronald Thayer, and her second husband of 25 years, Glenn Miller. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Ruth Victor, brothers Paul Couchman Jr. (Dottie), Leonard Couchman (Mary), and Phil Couchman (Mary), one son, Randy Thayer (Alesia), two daughters, Jan Willinger (Joe), Karen Howard (Sean), 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who knew her but is rejoicing in heaven with her family and her Lord. Service on August 9 2011 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon.
