

Born July 30, 1936, in Elwell, CO, and passed away at home on February 17, 2014, Edward graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954, and served in the US Army just after the Korean War. He was a truck driver for many years for The Sacramento Bee and Radial Tire Wholesale. Edward umpired softball games for the Church Athletic Association and the City of Sacramento. He attended and volunteered at Capital Christian Center since 1976, being very involved recently in the church's Men's Prayer Group. Edward and his wife also enjoyed traveling, both in and out of the country.
Edward is survived by his wife of 44 years, Peggi; his brother, Nathan (Sue) Gossett of Yuba City; his daughters, Paula (Jeff) Hunter of Rough and Ready, Beth (Kevin) Baker of Nevada City, Victoria (Ken) Allensworth of Sacramento; grandchildren Deken (Alison) Gossett, Jeff (Kristen) Hunter, Jacob (Sierra) Hunter, and Teran Baker; and great granddaughter Sylvie Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Frank Gossett, and his son, Edward Gossett, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at Capital Christian Center on Saturday, March 15, at 11:00am, in the Chapel.
