

Eva Evans passed peacefully in her sleep on May 8, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with COPD. Eva was born, Eva Mae Ashton in Ogden, Utah on January 11, 1935. She spent her youth in Devil’s Slide, Utah.
In 1953, on a trip to California to stay with her aunt, she met Donald H. Evans. After a brief courtship, the two married on April 18, 1954. The happy couple made their home in Gridley for a few years and then settled in Fair Oaks. In Fair Oaks Eva was a happy housewife who raised and ferociously loved the couple’s 7 children. She also babysat many of the babies in her neighborhood.
After her own youngsters reached school age, Eva combined her loves of children and bowling by going to work in the nursery of The Crestview Lanes Bowling Alley, and eventually become the manager. During this special time, she bowled on several different leagues and even got her husband, children and grandchildren involved in the sport. Eva bowled until she couldn’t bowl any more.
Eva loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She truly was the consummate matriarch. Eva is preceded in death by her parents Ermal and Alta Ashton, her son William and daughter Becky. Eva is survived by her loving husband Donald and daughters Janice (Charles) Hagen, Melody De Salles. Sons Donald K., Brad (Angella), and Greg Evans. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren,
